About the role:

As a Medical Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex medical data to derive actionable insights that drive decision-making and improve patient care. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals, data scientists, and IT specialists, to gather, analyze, and visualize data from various sources.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand data requirements.
  • Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from electronic health records (EHR).
  • Develop and implement SQL queries and scripts to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze medical data efficiently.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze healthcare data and identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Create insightful data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and support data-driven decision-making in clinical and operational settings.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2 years) as a data analyst or data scientist, with a focus on healthcare or medical data.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and analysis (Big Query, Postgres) - Must
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis (Pandas).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminologies, coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods, data mining techniques, and visualization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We offer competitive compensation packages based on industry benchmarks for function, level, and geographic location. Offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as a candidate's experience and expertise.
