Your Role and Impact

We are seeking an experienced HR Contractor to join HYPR on a temporary basis to cover a parental leave. This role will support day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and key people initiatives to ensure business continuity during this period. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, resourceful HR generalist who can quickly adapt to our culture, processes, and people needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers during the coverage period
  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, scheduling interviews, gathering feedback, and generating offer letters
  • Manage HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and compliance requirements
  • Own the new hire onboarding process and initiatives including administration of background checks, new hire orientation, and I-9 verification
  • Support and track the execution of HR initiatives including performance management, compliance training, learning & development, and employee engagement
  • Coordinate employee events including company celebrations, team building events, lunch & learns, etc.
  • Be the point person for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, company policies/procedures and HR programs
  • Administer personnel administration such as transfers, promotions, compensation & benefits changes, leaves, and exits
  • Maximize the use of HR technology to manage processes, including maintaining HR systems with accurate and comprehensive data and preparing regular reports and analysis

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or HRBP role
  • True HR Generalist with working knowledge of all People Operations functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, HR systems, learning & development, employee engagement, and performance management
  • Familiarity with HR systems - Greenhouse ATS and Rippling experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced, nimble environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish trust and credibility
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time efficiently

Contract Details

  • Duration: 4-5 months (parental leave coverage)
  • Start Date: December 1, 2025 - December 15, 2025
  • Engagement: Full-time contractor
  • Location: Remote
  • Hourly Rate: $40-$60
